    Park 4 - West Craven 2

On Wednesday evening, our Year 9 team were victorious against West Craven. Max Metclafe (pictured) scored two first half goals, both long range shots lobbing the  West Craven goalkeeper. In the wet conditions Goalkeeper Jacob Morgan (pictured) had a good game coming off his line  sweeping up around the edge of the area..

The second half started brightly with Max Metcalfe going close before striker Marly Hancock forced the ball over the line.

The resilient and hard-working West Craven team fought back with two goals to bring the game to 3-2.

In the final minutes Alfie Crabtree made sure of the win with a late goal and a result of 4-2.

  • Working that memory daily

Here at Park we use the process of Read / Cover/ Write/ Check to support learning.

In a silent and distraction free environment to focus attention on learning content, each morning, students learn through Look (read)/ Cover/ Write. This supports students in adding their learning into their working memory. If the information goes into the working memory enough times, it will be in the long term memory. Only when information/knowledge is in our long term memory have we actually learned it. #Workout#learning#memory#skills#succeed

  • Year 9 win 7-1 away at Pendle Vale

    Published 01/10/24

Year 9 continued their winning run with a 7-1 away win against Pendle Vale College.

Ollie Bracewell opened the scoring followed by Oscar Mulligan and two long range goals from Alfie Crabtree.

In the second half Marley Hancock volleyed in from close range. The game finished with two goals from Lewis Thompson finishing at the back post from corners.

Special mention this week to Lennox Kendal, Frasier Atkins and Oscar Williams who all played really well at the back.  The midfield three of Kai Kucukcan, Alfie Crabtree and Riley Phair showed calm control in midfield on a cold and windy evening.
