The World is Not Enough
Year 10 GCSE French students attended a Business Language Champions Event with the GCHQ.
This Wednesday, twelve year 10 French GCSE students travelled to Saint Helens for a Business Language Champions event called 'The World is Not Enough.' Students had language taster sessions in Arabic, Korean and Mandarin delivered by GCHQ language analysts and then, through a series of language and code breaker tasks had to work out how to intercept and stop a serious organised crime. Students also had a very interesting talk from GCHQ language analysts about the importance of linguistic knowledge in solving serious organised crime and potential careers options within GCHQ.
