Amazing night for girls' football in Pendle

What a fantastic evening it was to see so many girls playing football at the Pendle Schools U13 tournament to such a good standard. Park kicked off their evening by beating Pendle Vale 4-0 with goals from Hannah Beebe and Imogen Taylor and 2 from Isla Holgate. The next game against Primet allowed the girls to show their dominance further, beating them 2-0 with another goal each for Hannah and Isla!

The girls then gathered themselves for a tough game against West Craven. Solid defensive performances from Lily Forrest, Kara Turner and Lexie Tillotson meant we kept our clean sheet, whilst Imogen Taylor, Francesca Beck and Lexie Phair were amazing running all over the pitch and Isla added 2 more to her score.

Then came Fisher More.....Lexie Tillotson made some outstanding saves keeping it at a draw for most of the game but unfortunately Fisher More scored a lucky goal towards the end of the game.

The girls kept their heads held high and went out to smash Marsden Heights in the final game 7-0 with Isla getting another 2, Lily and Lexie Phair getting a goal each and hat trick Hannah finishing off her evening nicely!

The girls did themselves and Park so proud tonight and I would like to thank the parents for their fantastic support, coaching and encouragement from the sidelines. I think football might become my new favourite!
