Celebrating the sporting year

Park pupils celebrated the sporting year on Wednesday night at the annual Sports Presentation Evening.  As always, the evening was aimed at celebrating pupils continued enthusiasm, dedication and talent in sport.

At the beginning of the evening all pupils collected their 'Contribution to Sport' certificate before the player of the year awards for individual sports were announced.  We then moved on to the Sports Personality of the Year for each year group where the winners were...

Year 7 - Darcie Belshaw and James Hulena

Year 8 - Erin Jarvis and Max Metcalfe

Year 9 - Phoebe Law and Sam Hilton.

There was also a new award this year, 'Sports Leader of the Year', which recognises the increased involvement of our pupils in working with younger pupils, inspiring the next generation.  The first ever winner of this award was Hannah Beebe.

The final award of the evening, the Brenda Sagar Award, recognises the outstanding contribution of 2 pupils throughout Key Stage 3.  This year the well deserving winners were Lottie Hesketh and Seth Rawlinson.

A fantastic evening celebrating our outstanding pupils.  Well done to all involved.
