Year 8 off to a great start at Netball Tournament
3 out of 4 games played and 2 wins and a draw before the weather got the better of us!
The Year 8 Netball team got off to a fantastic start, beating our main rivals Fisher More in a convincing 6-2 win. Lottie Hesketh was voted player of the match. After all the excitement of this win the girls then struggled against a defensive Marsden Heights team only being able to secure a 1-1 draw. Phoebe Law was voted player in this match and particular well done to Hannah Beebe who sacrificed her knees for the team! The dark clouds and horizontal rain then descended and the light quickly faded. The girls played brilliantly considering the conditions and beat Pendle Vale 2-0. The tournament was then abandoned but not before we managed to sing Happy Birthday to Lottie and eat some cake! Well done to all the girls involved and I look forward to completing the tournament!
