U14 badminton

The U14 mixed doubles was held at Park on Monday after school.  We had 4 pairings with Ava Garner and Josh Lord, Kara Turner and Sam Carr, Martha Turner and Kamil Lee and Koby Spencer and Scarlett Bannister representing Park.

In the group stages Ava and Josh won their group and the other 3 pairs were only 1 win away from reaching the semi finals.

Ava and Josh breezed quickly through their semi-final to qualify for the final.  In the final they made a slow start and were behind 8-3 but showed some great resilience to remain in the contest and get back within a couple of points on a number of occasions only to see their opponents stretch their lead again.  In the end they unfortunately lost out 15-12 to the pair from Primet but a great effort. Well done to all the pupils involved.
